July News

Saturday Hike!

Saturday mornings you will usually find us hiking in the mountains. We take snacks and cool drinks and the girls love to amble along, chatting about life and what’s coming up the following week. In this instance, the Showtime show is just around the corner.

Showtime…

Most of July was taken up with our show rehearsals. ‘Showtime’ show was a fundraiser for Diabetes in the Community. One of our dancers has type 1 Diabetes. We decided to fundraise so that she could receive some sensors for her arm and the other funds raised would go on delicious healthy food for the Community members who also have Diabetes. The show was a huge success, with over 200 people attending the two shows! The children worked so hard and did themselves and the community proud.

New Clothes

The girls got new hip hop outfits and they are loving it!

Milisa Mathiso

We were very lucky to have our very own Milisa Mathiso visit us after she returned from San Francisco. Milisa came with all her news from her three week visit to the USA, where she studied dance with Alonzo King LINES Ballet school.

Raynell’s Sensors for Diabetes

Our Dance student Raynell is seen here receiving her Sensors for Diabetes. It was a very emotional, happy time for us to give Raynell four Sensors. This will mean that she doesn’t have to prick her fingers for 2 months! Well deserved for our wonderful young woman.
