June was a fabulous month as we celebrated Youth Day. The Senior girls made goodie bags for the children of McGregor and surrounding farms. They made 250 sandwiches in total, they put lollipops, chips and cookies in the goodie bags. The delight of both the Senior girls making the bags and the children receiving them was just wonderful. Giving back to the Community!
We also received an amazing donation of dance clothes by @Dance Donation. In the boxes were enough shorts for 85 children. Warm Ballet wrap overs to keep them warm this winter and leotards and Ballet skirts a plenty. Thank you @Dance Donation for your generosity!
The highlight of the month was a trip to Cape Town to perform at the Joseph Stone Auditorium in Athlone. First Step Seniors were invited to take part in a Dance Festival called Permitted. In association with The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport. Dance Revolution Festival, in celebration of National Youth Month. The girls had a wonderful time, meeting up with old and new friends. Thank you @Raymond Dreyers for the opportunity.
Here are the Top Senior Girls backstage at the Joseph Stone Auditorium Cape Town waiting to go on and perform.
