October started with a bang! First Step Ballet was featured on the TV programme Kwêla. It was so good to watch it with our friends and family. The children were so proud of themselves. It’s something that will stay with us forever. Have a look at the video below.
Baby Ballet
Also at the beginning of October we started a new baby Ballet class. Ages 3 to 5. It was so lovely to see lots of little ones come. They dressed up as fairies and pirates, a great combination
MOVE Certificates
After the Senior competition girls got over their disappointment, at not being able to perform in the finals of the MOVE competition their certificates came from Cape Town.
You can see the joy and pride on their faces. Well done girls. One Bronze & Three Silvers, and one first place for their new HIP HOP by Cleo Notcutt.
Surprise Visit…
At the end of the month we had a surprise visit from a fabulous young man called Mthetheleli Odwa Dlakavu, (Lolly was his nickname). He was visiting McGregor for the Sacred Music & Dance Festival. He agreed to come visit us in his spare time and gave the Senior girls some African and Contemporary Dance. It was beautiful and the girls loved it. We are so grateful for this amazing opportunity. Thank you so much Lolly we had the best time ever.
The Rugby between South Africa & The All Blacks.
The girls took great delight in painting their faces, ready to watch the match! Well South Africa you are the champions! 🏆
